Hull City Council have secured £3.4m in government funding, to be spent over 3 years to support upgrades such as insulation, low-carbon heating systems and other energy-saving improvements for privately owned homes.
The scheme aims to -
- reduce energy bills
- increase home energy efficiency
- tackle fuel poverty
To be eligible, your home must -
- be in Hull
- be privately owned either by you or your landlord
- your household income must be £36,000 a year or less
- have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of D, E, F or G. If you do not know your homes EPC, you can find it when you apply or check using the Governments EPC database. If your property does not have an EPC, E.ON can look to have an EPC carried out following initial eligibility checks
If your household income is higher than £36,000, you may still be eligible if either -
- you live in a qualifying postcode area
- someone in your household receives qualifying benefit

- Hot Water Cylinder or Tank
- Low Energy Lighting
- Solar PV
- Solar Thermal
- Digital or Smart Controls
- Draughtproofing
- Double/Triple Glazing
- Energy Efficiency Doors
Low Carbon Heat Measures
- Air Source Heat Pump
- Ground Source Heat Pump
- Hybrid Heat Pumps
- Shared Group Loops
- High Heat Retention Storage Heaters
- Biomass Boilers
Applying for the Warm Homes Local Grant
